UPDATE: I did fly down while my mom was in the hospital. She was moved to a Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Facility the day before I came home. It’s an excellent place and they already have her up and taking a few steps. I feel at peace that God has put her in the right hands. Prayers for her continued healing and recovery.

Please pray we don’t have another flood and that God will send the right people that know how to solve this problem.

UPDATE 9/28: Andrew was transported to the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Hospital yesterday. Please pray for a smooth transition and successful treatment.

UPDATE 9/26: Thank you for your prayers! Pending insurance approval Andrew has been accepted into the Virginia Mason Rehab Hospital. The transition should happen in the next few days. Thank you, Lord.

Now that Andrew has a stomach tube the search for a rehab center resumes. M’s brother will help with the transition from the hospital to the rehab center once Andrew recovers from the procedure and a rehab place is found. Thank you for continued prayers.

UPDATE 9/24: They are proceeding with Andrew’s procedure endoscopically this afternoon. Please pray for a successful procedure. Andrew is getting weaker because he has had no nutrition. This procedure will place a stomach feeding tube.

UPDATE 9/23: Thank you for continuing prayers for Andrew. Saturday the swallow test went well and they are hoping to install a PEG tube in Andrew’s stomach for feeding and remove the nose tube. Please pray for the best place in Washington or Oregon. Please do not send mail until Andrew goes to rehab.

UPDATE 9/22: M and Andrew say thank you for your love and prayers. Andrew was moved out of CCU to the Neurology unit at Virginia Mason. He is able to talk and speech therapists, physical therapists and other therapists are working with him. They continue to do tests including swallow tests. They are working to find an acceptable in-patient rehab. M says there are miracles every day and angels in the flesh around them.

UPDATE 9/16: Praises that Andrew’s breathing tube was removed. He is breathing and not aspirating. They met with several therapists this afternoon. Prayers that Andrew continues to progress and keeps fighting.
