Need Prayer?
Chapel by the Lake is a praying community; we have a team of praying warriors ready to take your requests before our Heavenly Father.
You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Please keep my so. In law in prayer. He is being admitted into BRH as he is having difficulty w his pacemaker. He is dealing with that along with fighting to stop drinking. Heavenly Father hear our prayers thank you in advance. Please pray for Bill Harrington, who lived in Juneau years ago & worshipped at Holy Trinity. He recently received bad news that his cancer has spread to his lymph nodes. He now awaits an appt. w/ the oncologist & is asking for prayers. Bridger Kelley (VA) update: Our 5 yr old granddaughter Bridger Kelley is showing improvement and living life with large steroid doses fighting this horrible HSP. Thank you prayer warriors! This update was interrupted by her photo with an ice cream cone and a banner stating REMISSION! Thank you Lord for you are good, all the time. My friend’s husband is in the hospital for an uncertain length of time. She is asking for prayers of comfort and patience for herself, and for a treatment solution for her husband. She also asks that her husband will feel the Lord’s presence and seek the wonder of His love and friendship. Just a quick update: Our young football friend who suffered cardiac arrest a few weeks ago at a JDHS game is now home! He received a pacemaker and is recovering well. His family hosted a small gathering for the players to come by and visit him this Sunday, and Jake reported that everyone was in good spirits. Thank you all for your prayers. Andy and Mike Story are asking for prayers for their son Ryan. He is now being medevac to Seattle with a heart attack. They’re asking for prayers for comfort for Ryan and for skill of the doctors as they receive him and for him to heal. Chrisanna Lesmann suffered a small hemorrhagic stroke on October 12th. Chrisanna and Mike are in North Dakota visiting family. She is in the ICU currently, but all testing is going well and showing signs of improvement. The stroke was minor enough that she doesn’t need surgery and the neurologists are hopeful that she won’t have lasting effects. She’s talking and feels strong, all things considered. Prayers for Chrisanna that she keeps recovering and is discharged from the hospital soon. Prayers for Chrisanna and Mike for travel mercies as they continue their trip in the Midwest, then on to Washington and back home to Juneau sometime next week. Friday night, during a football game, a JV player went into cardiac arrest and was resuscitated on the field, then medevaced to Seattle, where he is receiving expert care. Please keep Louis Fenumiai and his family in your prayers as he recovers. Please keep the players and coaches in your prayers as they fly to Anchorage and back today for a playoff game. Please keep the Sitka players from last night's game in your prayers as they witnessed the traumatic event.
Praise that God was present during the event: Two parents of JV players are medical professionals and provided lifesaving care until the ambulance arrived. Everyone was shaken. But, how did they respond? The players went back to the modular and PRAYED. They prayed together, each individually saying a word if they felt led. Our youth are hungry and are leading each other toward Jesus, discipling one another in scripture and encouragement. Praise the Lord for moving in their midst! From Christie Loney:
Thank you for your prayers for Andrew and Marilyn. They had to move from the skilled care facility last Friday to a hotel. They anticipate moving into an independent care facility this afternoon. There is no insurance to help cover the expense. Please pray that Andrew can get the support and therapy he needs to continue to get better, and that Marilyn gets the support she needs as well. Please pray for Andrew and Marilyn. Andrew was told this afternoon that insurance has denied coverage beginning tomorrow. Unless they come up with the resources to pay $600 per day Andrew will be discharged tomorrow. They have no idea where they can go. Please pray for the Lord’s intervention and discernment.
