Dear Chapel Family,

Thank you for your prayers for our family and for Mom. She went to her heavenly home just a few short hours ago. We are sad that she is no longer with us, but we rejoice that she is no longer suffering and is in His presence.

A note from Myrlene:

My test results are back and they are negative! Who says God still doesn’t do miracles today? He has been blessing us before, after, in between, and throughout this whole ordeal. He always keeps His promises!

Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement even though many of you also have serious health issues. I’m praying for all of you and reminding you that we’re all in God’s hands. Ed’s condition continues to fluctuate, but mostly improving. He’s still in the hospital. He has also appreciated all your prayers, cards, and concern. I thanked his Dr. for his support and he said “Yes, I do work long hours, but the nurses are the real heroes! They have to suit up every time they go into a Covid patient’s room”. Please, pray for all health care workers, especially the nurses and doctors. Pray for wisdom, safety and protection for all of them. Love to you All. ~Myrlene

P.S. Please, continue to wear masks and physically distance from others.

Marilyn: PTL! I'm 10 times better than yesterday! I haven't bounced back this high, so fast before!! Thanks for your prayers. I was able to totally enjoy the sunny day. Yes, I'll pace myself.

Please pray for healing for my Daughter-in law Lana DeWitt. In mid July she had trouble breathing. Rushed to hospital and found to have pulmonary embolism from Clots in her leg. She is still in pain and trouble breathing. Went to the Doctor today and they say lower lobe of right lung is damaged and severely inflamed. Looking at 9 - 18 months of healing. They also found more clots in her other leg and since she is on significant blood thinners they are not sure what is going on. DRs are now trying to figure out next steps.

Thank you for praying for my friend, Ilke (pronounced ILKUH). Here is an update:

Hello family, this is very difficult as it has been a road of many ups and downs together with you all.

Thank you for praying with us for my dad. After battling Covid for 15 days in hospital my dad went to be with God this morning.

Yesterday we had a beautiful hour of video calls together with all his girls, he saw his grandchildren and we said all that was on our hearts. My beautiful, humble, gentle dad has left us with a big hole in our hearts that we can feel with a physical pain.

It has not been easy to see my dad battling it out. Covid is a beast, we need to take it seriously. I've realised that the subtle killer is also loneliness. We need to remember all the other families at the moment who are in a situation where their loved one is isolated. We need to hold them up in prayer.

The hope in my heart this morning? Death has a temporary sting, it hurts. But I know where my dad is, and its where he wanted to be at the end of his fight. We will celebrate my dad, and are thankful for the nearly 75 years he had, of which we were a large part of. Life is short, family is important.

Thank you for praying for my friend Ilke‘S dad. Here is an update from her:

Hello family, I want to honour and give praise to God for the healing he is doing in my dad.

The head Doc of ICU saw my dad this morning, and he said his bloodwork is slowly improving. His words were "room for optimism."

My sister was also able to go see him in full PPE and hold his hand, tell him we love him and are all praying for him. We video called together. It was a precious, beautiful gift of time.

The nurse who is caring for him has been incredible to my dad and giving him heartfelt care.

Pls carry on holding him in your prayers. Its still early days but we are trusting God 100% for a recovery. X

I had it on my heart to pray for Pastor Joey Chang (Kake Presbyterian Church) and others in small villages such as Kake. I asked him how he's doing and how we can be praying and this is his response.

"Thanks for checking on us and our community in this time of pandemic!

We are doing good in most part except today is 7th day self-quarantine for I came back from medical emergency a week ago. I am doing good with the help of God, but my whole family got stuck in our house with me for two weeks as required.

We have this feeling of isolation since we cannot fly in and out of Kake anymore as the governor mandated. The people of Kake are doing good so far, but I can see some people running low with their food and essential item supplies. Our church tries to help as much we can, but we do have the limitation.

Please keep in your prayer for we don't have to deal with the virus for it will be deadly for many elders here!

We thank you again for reaching out to us.

Have a blessed day!"

This is a prayer request from Tamira Potdevin:

My niece Kristin Dayton and her mother, Colleen (my sister), have to travel to Anchorage for Kristin’s infusion appointment at the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) on 30 March. Colleen is very nervous about flying from Fairbanks to Anchorage, along with going to the hospital where we have lost someone from COVID-19. The ANMC Cancer Treatment Center is not in the same building as the hospital, ANMC has a separate building so these patients are not around others. I asked Colleen if I could share her concerns.

On the bright side of this, Kristin’s tumor has been shrinking with these infusions.

Please pray for those that are in the same situation with their low immune systems that God will protect them as they continue to receive their treatments, whether it be chemo, radiation or the infusion process.
