Chapel by the Lake is a Christ-centered, biblically-based, praying congregation.  Our mission: To know Jesus and to make Him known. We do this through joyful worship of God, caring nurture of the faith community, and loving outreach to all people.

The Apostle Paul wrote, “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” (I Corinthians 12: 27)  That is who we are – the body of Christ.  As such, our deep desire is to be the heart and hands and feet of Jesus in the world.  We welcome and encourage you to join us as we seek to love and follow Jesus with our entire selves.

Real and abundant life comes to us as God’s Spirit unites us to Jesus Christ and God the Father.  We would be very pleased if you join us in exploring and experiencing the grace that God pours on us through Jesus.

We want to know Jesus more deeply and share his love more completely by serving others – close to home and throughout all creation.  This is who we are – we would be delighted to share our life with you.

The log chapel above was constructed in the mid-1950’s. One of our three Sunday services is held in this picturesque and popular tourist site. In addition to the log chapel, the Chapel by the Lake campus includes a main sanctuary, fellowship hall, education wing, and housing for a staff family.
