Chapel Happenings 10/8/2017

Wake Up Sleep Beauty is November 3-4. With so much of the world’s focus on outward beauty, the intent of this conference is to help girls and women see their inward beauty. High School book study meets tonight at 6:00 in the youth lounge. We’ll tackle the question: Can I be a Christian and believe in evolution? Join us for great discussion and pizza.

 Our Covenant Partner new members class continues next Sunday, Oct 15. Join us and discover what being a covenant partner at Chapel is all about.  All are welcome. We meet in the Corner Room at 10:15.

The Alaska Presbytery meets next weekend, Oct 13 and 14 at Chapel. We host our sibling churches from southeast and Anchorage. Our good friend, the Rev. Dr. David Dobler, will teach on discipleship Saturday afternoon (Oct 14) – join us.

Be all IN!  Inspired, Involved, Invested”.  It’s stewardship season! Prayerfully consider your stewardship commitment for the coming year. We dedicate our pledge cards in worship, October 22.

Adult class on the Reformation class: It meets in the large classroom below Smith Hal on Sunday mornings at 10:15. We’re using the award-winning video series, “This Changed Everything”.  Great insight and discussion – join us!

Wednesday dinners and programs are in full swing.  Join us at 5:30 for good food and fellowship.  Then stay for one of our adult classes at 6:15, which include the Serendipity Bible Study or the High Quest study group. (Or just come for dinner.) Middle School youth group also meets Wed evenings.  Awana also meets.  Please join us.

Bi-Annual Baby Clothes Exchange is next Sunday Oct 15, from 9 to 11:30am.  Donate or pick up clothes for kids sized 0 – 2 in Smith Hall. Questions? Contact Holly Cox at hbadgley@gmail.com
